Description
A sweet, savory, and incredibly tender pulled pork infused with cherry cola and slow-cooked to perfection. Perfect for sandwiches, sliders, or serving over mashed potatoes.

- 4–5 lb pork shoulder (pork butt)
- 2 cups Cherry Coca-Cola
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Season pork shoulder with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown meat on all sides.
- Place chopped onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place the seared pork on top of the vegetables.
- Pour cherry cola over the meat until halfway submerged.
- Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, and apple cider vinegar; pour over the pork.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours until meat is tender.
- Remove pork to a tray and shred with two forks.
- Strain cooking liquid into a pan, simmer until reduced by half, and stir back into the shredded meat.
