  • 1/2 cup sugar (preferably palm sugar)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 2 pandan leaves (tied in a knot)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steaming setup by filling a pot with water and placing it on medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together coconut milk, sugar, salt, eggs, and pandan leaves until well combined.
  3. Gradually sift in rice flour while stirring continuously to avoid lumps; let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Pour half of the custard mixture into the steamer basket or heatproof dish and steam for about 15 minutes until slightly set.
  5. Add the remaining custard mixture on top and steam for another 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and firm.
