- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onion until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix cooked beef with cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread half of the meat mixture in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer half of the tater tots on top.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over tater tots. Repeat layers with remaining meat mixture, tater tots, and finish with cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
