Description

A savory and sweet Mongolian Beef that is incredibly tender thanks to a slow-cooking process. Perfect for a hassle-free weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  3. Place the beef strips into the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, stirring to coat.
  4. Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. Mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry; stir into the slow cooker 30 minutes before finishing.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
