- 1 lb ground Italian sausage
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Brown sausage and onions in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
- Mix in 1 cup of cheddar cheese until melted.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with frozen tater tots in neat rows.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until potatoes are golden and crisp.
