Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix in the applesauce until well combined.
- Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into the wet batter until just combined.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 30-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
