A fast and nutrient-dense dinner featuring pan-seared salmon fillets basted in a rich garlic butter sauce with tender asparagus.

- 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Place salmon skin-side down in the pan; press gently and sear for 4-5 minutes until skin is crisp.
- Flip the fillets and reduce heat to medium.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the pan; spoon the melting butter over the salmon for 2-3 minutes.
- Push salmon to the side and add asparagus to the pan, sautéing for 4-6 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the salmon and vegetables.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
