Description
Buttery, soft yeast rolls infused with aromatic orange zest and tart dried cranberries for a festive winter side.

- 3.5 cups bread flour
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (105-115F)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup dried cranberries
Instructions
- Whisk warm milk and sugar in a bowl, sprinkle yeast on top, and let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together bread flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, and orange zest to the flour; stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Fold in the dried cranberries.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface or in a mixer for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough, divide into 12 equal portions, and roll into balls.
- Place rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350F (175C) for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush the tops with melted butter immediately after removing from the oven.
