  • 2 cups seitan, sliced into thick pieces
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, maple syrup, mustard, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. Place seitan slices in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Arrange marinated seitan on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes until slightly caramelized.
  5. Baste with remaining marinade during the last 10 minutes of baking.
