- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup dried cranberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and orange zest until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips and dried cranberries using a spatula.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to prevent over-spreading.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
