Description

A soft and chewy cookie featuring the bright flavor of orange zest, tart dried cranberries, and creamy white chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and orange zest until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips and dried cranberries using a spatula.
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to prevent over-spreading.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
